Artist's Biography: Pete Marin

My love for art started as a kid. I grew up in the sticks of northern Maine, so finding a way to entertain myself was important. I learned to airbrush in 1992 and have been a student ever since. When people ask me how long it takes to learn how to airbrush, I always tell them I've been doing it for over 13 years and I'm still learning! I've been fortunate to work with and learn from some very talented artists throughout the years in various t-shirt stores and gigs from Maine to Florida. I spent most of my twenties and early thirties in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire where an artist friend and I purchased the airbrush store where we worked. With new ideas and lots of ambition we took that store and in just a few short seasons nearly doubled the sales volume. I have since sold Airbrush Underground, Inc. to my partner, Ray McIntyre, and moved to Florida to escape cold winters.
